Thomas is not only one of my best friends, but also my neighbour. That is true double luck. To feel the love he has for me as his friend every day, because we live next to each other!
When I walk into our street and Thomas sees me from the little playpark across from our houses where he is playing, it feels like sunbeams shine on me, even when it rains. “Josefin!” he shouts, and I shout back: “Thomas!” And we run to each other like you see people do in cheesy movies. But what we feel is real, we are always VERY happy to see each other.
Thomas knows what it means to be a friend; he is caring and loyal and besides that, he is so much fun to be with. We watch movies, eat cake, sing karaoke or walk with Babbel, our labradoodle, who is also one of his best friends, and who adores him.
So on this Valentine’s Day I want to say to him, my dear Thomas: I love you, just the way you are, and thank you for loving me, just the way I am.
